Overview
There is something every engineer has in common, no matter what type of engineer they are, who they are or where they live. Do you have any idea what this is? I'll give you a guess. Give up? They all eat food!
Given that engineers need to eat to survive, we thought it would be fun to have a contest that applies principles of engineering to the kitchen. This can mean inventing new kitchen gadgets, doing engineering experiments with food, or otherwise applying principles of engineering in ways appropriate to the kitchen.
Autodesk Judge's Prize
In addition to the regular prize levels, three $300 prizes will be awarded by our judges to projects that incorporate any Autodesk software in a notable way. This can include Tinkercad, Fusion, Inventor, Forma, Revit, 3DS Max, Maya, or any of the software listed on this page.
Requirements
To enter this contest you must:
Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Feb 12, 2024 and Jun 3, 2024 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select Engineering in the Kitchen - Autodesk Design & Make - Student Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
