Introduction: 15 Minute Goats Cheese and Chutney Tart | Cooking With Benji

About: I am an amateur cook that loves nothing more than sharing my passion for cooking with other people. I taught myself to cook and certainly no stranger to a number of kitchen disasters. This however is okay, whe…

These tarts are so easy to make and you can throw them together and bake in less than 20 minutes flat, the secret... Ready made, ready rolled puff pastry. There is absolutely no harm in buying ready made pastry, I have made pastry many times and the quality of the ready made is just as good.

To make these tasty and simple tarts you will need 4 things:

  1. Ready made, ready rolled puff pastry - half a roll
  2. Chutney, I used apple and pear but you could use any, why not try onion chutney - a few good dollops
  3. Goats cheese - as much as you like :)
  4. Cheddar cheese - again as much as you like :)

Step 1: Method

Preheat your oven to 220 degree celsius.

Un-roll the pastry, you only need half a roll.

Take a few spoons of your chutney a spoon on to the flattened pastry

Cut chunks of the goats cheese and dot around the pastry

Grate cheese over the top, this will give the melt factor :)

Roll the pastry and then cut into discs, turn on end and place on a baking tray, squash them flat a little with your hand

Pop in the oven at 220 degrees celsius for 10 minutes until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and serve with some greens along with some extra chutney and cheese on the side

Enjoy :)
