Accessing the Samsung Capitivate Boot Menu

For whatever reason, you might find yourself needing to access  the boot menu on the Samsung Captivate.  This guide wil show you how.

Step 1: Step 1

Make sure your phone is off.  All at once, hold the power button, the volume up button, and the volume down button.

Step 2: Step 2

Once it gets to the AT&T screen (as shown), release the power button, but continue to hold down the volume up and volume down buttons.

Step 3: Step 3

The boot menu will come up.  You can use the volume up and down buttons to navigate, and the power button to select your choice.  Be careful, you can cause damage to your phone using this menu.  You can apply an update from your sdcard, perform a factory reset, or wipe the cache partition.
