Introduction: Arc Light

About: I am an aspiring sound designer who loves to build. I like thinking about presented ideas from a new perspective. The best part about running into a problem is figuring out how to fix it.

Have a really cool light for your laptop or desktop to light up a bottle or anything transparent.
This light is based of Iron Mans Arc Reactor, it is very bright and makes opace, or transparent objects look awesome.

Step 1: Materials

Tools:
  • soldering iron
  • hot glue gun
Materials:
  • coffee travel mug with metal ring
  • blue led light
  • small glass plate
  • wood shower curtain ring
  • transparent ri
  • copper wire
  • old usb wire
  • transparent bouncy ball
  • round mirror from a makeup kit
  • wide plastic ring
  • rubber washer
  • strip of thin metal
  • hot glue
  • 32 k resistor
  • simple hobby wire

Step 2: Making the Coil

Take the transparent ring and wrap coil around the ring several times every 1/2 in.

Step 3: Wirering

Strip the usb cable so you have the positive and negative ends  sticking out. Solder one end of the resistor to each of wires. You can also attach a simple 4 AA battery pack if you want instead of the usb cable.

Step 4: Finish Up

Plug in your light and watch it glow, place a water bottle on top of the light to watch it glow!
