Hey momoluvers it momo. Today well be making a super cute bag you can carry as a clutch, or set it on a table and it stands up! {sorry I haven't done momo's shoutout Sunday this week, but I'll do it today}

Step 1: Fabric Lengths

Print (main color)
1- cut 1 strip 4 1/2" x 21" (outer bag)
2- cut 1 strip 1 3/4" x 21" (handle)
3- cut 1- 1 1/2" x 4" (zipper stoppers)

Contrast (inside of bag)
1- cut one strip 6 1/2" x 21" (inside of bag)
2- cut 2 strips 1 3/4" x 21" (bottom of bag, and handle)

Fusible fleece- cut one strip 6 1/4" x 20 1/2"

*You'll also need scissors, an iron, a zipper, a swivel hook, a "d" ring, and a sewing machine!

Keep in mind: you can glue this all if you don't sew. I just think it's neater this way.

Step 2: Fusible Fleece

Following the manufacturer instructions fuse the 6 1/4 x 21 fleece to the wrong side of the
6 1\2 x 21 contrast strip

Step 3: Placing

Place the 4 1/2 x 21 print strip right side up on the fleece side of the step one strip even with the top edge of the fleece.

Align a 1 3/4 x 21 contrast strip wrong side up along the bottom edge of the print strip. stitch a 1/4 seam through all the layers

After you have stitched, fold the contrast strip over so the right side is facing up. And finger press the seam.

Step 4: Stitch Again

Stitch through all the layers about 1/8" from the long edges. Trim the excess fleece lining.

Cut two 5 3/4 x 9" units

Step 5: Zipper Stoppers

Fold the 1 1/2" x 4" print strip in half lengthwise, wrong sides together and press. Open and press both edges in to meet at the center crease. refold center crease and press again

Unzip the zipper a few inches. Stitch across the zipper teeth to hold the halves together near the zipper stops. Cut the zipper stops off. insert the stitched end of the zipper into the folded strip. stitch close to the fold as shown. Then trim the edges and use the leftover strip for the other side

Step 6: Stitch the Zipper On

Center the zipper on the top edge of one side of the bag with the right sides together (zipper facing down) stitch a 1/4" seam through all the layers. Note: the contrast strip is at the bottom edge

Fold the zipper upwards and stitch a scant 1/4" away from the fold making sure to catch the edge of the zipper tape underneath

Repeat on the other side

Step 7: Handle

Stitch a 1 3/4" x 21" contrast strip to a 1 3/4" x 21" print strip along the long edge with right sides together. Use a 1/4 seam. press seam open. Fold the raw edges over to meet at the seam allowance and press. Fold in half along the seam and press. Top stitch along both long edges

Step 8: Handle (continued)

Cut a 2" piece from the handle and fold it around the D ring. stitch a scant 1/4" from the raw edges through all the layers. set aside.

Trim the rest of the handle to 15". Slide the swivel hook onto the handle. fold the end under 1/4". Tuck the opposite end underneath and stitch through all the layers as shown

Step 9: Put the D Ring on the Bag

Align the raw edges of the D ring tab with the side edge of the bag about 1/2" down from the zipper on the outside of the bag. Stitch a scant 1/4" from the edge

Step 10: Sew the Bag Together

unzip the zipper halfway. Fold the bag in half, wrong side out. Stitch a 1/4" seam along the side and bottom edges of the bag, catching the tab with the side seam.

Step 11: Making Bottom of the Bag

With the Bag still inside out, fold the bottom edge up toward the front along the stitching line as shown. stitch through all the layers at the side seams.

Step 12: Finish!

Turn the bag inside out and clip the handle to the d ring. I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial. Be a momoluver! If you haven't already follow me, become a member of the farm family and give a cow it's wings! Love y'all •_£
