Introduction: Gingerbread Mario

In this Instructable I'll show how to make a Super Mario gingerbread cookie. Note: I'm not very familiar with English cooking glossary, so if you find a mistake, contact me so I can correct it.

Step 1: The Materials

All the materials you need are:
- gingerbread cookie dough
- a Super Mario template

Gingerbread dough recipes can be found all over the Internet, or you could just buy some prepared dough. Here is a good recipe I found on the Internet.

I attached the Super Mario template here. Just print it out and cut along the outline.

Step 2: Shaping Him Out and Baking

Now roll out the gingerbread dough into quite a thin plate. Then lay the Mario template on the dough and cut the dough along the outline. You can also make some more gingerbread cookies, as there will likely be quite a lot of the dough. Transfer the cookies on an ungreased baking sheet (or whatever) and bake them in the oven.

Step 3: Decoration!

When Mario is baked, it's time to decorate him! In this step, have your freedom. Use your imagination to make the decorations look goos. I made all the decorations with a sharp knife. Be very careful to not cut too deep, as his legs get easily broken out. I actually broke one leg, but I repaired him with that white stuff used to decorate gingerbread cookies.

Step 4: Done!

Now it's time to clean up and eat the Gingerbread Mario... or not yet. Let him be for at least some days so everybody can enjoy looking at him.

Merry Christmas from the Mushroom Kingdom!
