Introduction: Gold Glasses for St. Patricks Day!

With a St.Patricks Day party around the corner, I was looking for Creative (and NOT TACKY) Crafts to lighten up my party. I decided to create my own Glitter Glasses to serve drinks in. Heres a fun, quick Tutorial to help you do the same!

A little touch of gold to brighten up your day!

Step 1: What You Will Need..

You will need:

Glasses (whatever you want, Shot glasses, Wine Glasses, Mason Jars..)

Scissors

Paintbrush

Rubber Cement

Tape

Glitter

Glass Paint (I used Martha Stewarts Glass Paint)

Download the template for free. Scale the template to desired size and print on paper.

Step 2: Step 1: Cut Out Your Template

Cut out your template and apply rubber cement to the back.

Step 3: Step 2: Creating a Gold Rim

If you want a Gold Rim on the edge of the glass, place tape creating a gap on the upper edge (as shown in the image)

Step 4: Step 3: Paste Template to Glass

Find the position you want the Four Leaf Clover to be in, and apply rubber cement to the glass.

Stick the template on the glass. Make sure your template is centered and straight.

Step 5: Step 4: Paint and Shimmer!

Start using the Shimmering Glass Paint and paint in your template. Try and be as even as you can..

Step 6: Optional: Painting the Rim Gold/Or Dip in Brown Sugar.

If you plan on using straws, you can paint your gold rim on the upper edge.

You can also achieve this gold rim with brown sugar, which is a safer option...

Step 7: Step 5: Glam It Up.

I felt this needed a bit more jazz, so I added some glitter. This step is optional.

You can do the same. Sprinkle the Glitter (over paper, to collect the glitter that falls off) and shake off any excess.

Step 8: Step 6: Dry..Peel...and Voila!

Let these bad boys dry for a few hours.

Peel off the paper and tape carefully, without removing the glitter or paint. 

Step 9: Make It Your Own

Add your own touches to make it your own! and just have fun with it!

This was a great touch to our fun little party we had.

Note: *Use a straw when using this glass. Or coat the rim with brown sugar...
