Introduction: Lady Gaga Cigarette Glasses

About: Ham Radio, Gardening, InfoSec, Bicycles as transportation -- Currently: Product Security @ Slack

Want to be lady gaga this Halloween? One of the most interesting costume props in the lady gaga universe is the cigarette glasses featured in her "Telephone" video. The glasses she used are actually on fire, which will not be good for all night Halloween romps.

I decided to recreate the smoking effect, using cornstarch! These glasses will look cool and smoke all night long.

Special Thanks to Culturespy and Carleyy

Step 1: Supplies

For this project you will need:
1 pair of large sunglasses
3 ft of plastic tubing
1 ear syringe
1 pack of sugru
1 pack of cigarettes
cornstarch

I used real cigarettes but they were messy and smelly. If i were going to do this again, i'd get some of these instead: Fake Cigarettes

Step 2: The Smoking Aparatus Pt 1

In lady gaga's telephone video she is wearing smoking cigarette glasses. I wanted to recreate this effect without actually lighting cigarettes on fire.

For this i used plastic tubing, corn starch and an ear syringe.

Step 3: The Smoking Aparatus Pt 2

First i cut a hole in the ear syringe so i could put cornstarch in more easily. I filled the hole with sugru to create a plug.

Next i attached the plastic tubing to the end with hot glue and filled the ear syringe with cornstarch.

Step 4: Create the Glasses

Next you want to create the cigarette glasses.

I cut the cigarettes so they fit nicely on the glasses and filled the ends with hot glue so tobacco wouldn't go everywhere.

Then i hot glued the cigarettes to the glasses like so, leaving a bit of space so you can actually see.

Step 5: Attach the Tube to the Glasses

Lastly i attached the tube to the glasses with a bunch of hot glue. My glasses had holes in the front, so i pushed the tubing through that and hot glued it in. The cigarettes on the side hide it a bit.

Step 6: Be Lady Gaga

This is pretty easy, Just use the puffer to activate the "smoke".

You could use cornstarch or baby powder in the puffer to get the good effects!

Just add other costume elements and you can have your own costume from the "telephone" video!

Step 7: Optional Step: Don't Smoke, OK?

Maybe some of you are smokers, i sure am not. But i also had some extra cigarettes, so i decided to do a quick public service announcement.

DON'T SMOKE OK?
