Hey Momoluvers! It's Momo and today I'll be doing a Valentine's Day gift for a friend or loved one. This super cute jar features tiny sealed envelopes that contain memories and their dates. The makes a perfect gift for any occasion, but I thought this would be perfect for Valentine's Day! Enjoy

Step 1: Supplies

You will need:

1. An old jar

2. Scrapbooking paper

3. Twine

4. Decorative shreds

5. Scissors

6. Envelope template (Above)

7. Glue

Step 2: Clean Out the Jar

Heat up some water on the stove to break down the oil inside the jar

Pour the water into the jar and let sit for about 10-15 minutes

Dump out water and fill it back up with a soap solution let sit for another 10 minutes

Empty the water and wipe out thoroughly with a paper towel

For the label, run it under hot water, or let it soak in the hot water and the label should peel off

Step 3: Making the Envelopes

Select 5 or 6 different scrapbook paper designs and cut envelopes using the template. I got 6 envelopes out of one sheet

Fold the envelope on each edge

Glue the two side flaps along the bottom so they attach to the adjacent flap

Step 4: Making the Memories

After you have cut out all of the envelopes, you can use the template to size printer paper for the notes. I cut three long strips and got enough notes to fill my envelopes

Find inspiration from pictures or if you journal, find some entries that pertain to the gift receiver

Write a short sentence that will fit on the note and write the date

Seal the envelope closed with a tiny drop of liquid glue and press the flap closed

Step 5: Putting It All Together

Decorate the jar simplistically, or extravagantly. I just used a small 'memories' label and wrapped some twine around the rim of the jar

Take the decorative shreds and stuff them about 75% full

Put the envelopes on top and seal the jar shut

Step 6: تمام شده

That's it! I hope y'all enjoyed this tutorial and had fun making this memories jar. I hope everyone had a very happy Valentine's Day with loved ones and enjoyed the long weekend.
