Introduction: Multi Use Bracelet

About: I'm a mom of 4 and I love to craft! Anything and Everything interests me and i love to create in the process of learning.

This bracelet is made from recycled scrap yarn and gift wrap elastic. It's very versatile like it's name and super easy to do. It would be lovely as a gift for any girl!

Step 1: Materials

There are very few supplies needed for this project and they can be
easily found. You can use scrap yarn or skein thread for this project, even scarp fabric would Iook great! I got my gold elastic from the packaging of Lindor Chocolates. If you don't have it, you can always buy it from craft stores. I used fabric glue so that it would be washable.

Step 2: Glue and Wrap

Wrap the gold elastic around the head and cut to length. Take a small length of skein thread and tie a knot on the elastic.

Now apply fabric glue on the knot and a bit below.

Wrap the thread around the glue and secure the ends with glue, too.

Keep adding various colors as shown in the above steps, leaving a small gap of gold to show in between the colors. It doesn't have to be perfectly gaped. I left about 2..5" plain without wrapping because I wanted a bit of variance when wrapping as a bracelet.

Once you have finished wrapping your tread all around, it is time to join the ends. Thread a needle with the skein thread. Prick both ends and join the ends. Add glue and tack the corners by going in and out with the needle.

Add glue and start to wrap around the elastic as you have done before. Make sure to hide the joint.

Doesn't it look great? It can be used in many ways! As a chain or anklet.

Step 3: A Bracelet!

Step 4: A Head Band!

Step 5: A Decorative Hair Band!

It's your choice!

I hope you have fun making this for you and your friends. You could also add charms if you like! :)

Thanks for reading. Any input is most welcome!
