Introduction: Pipe a Pi Pie!
Pipe a Pi pie...Pipe a pi pie...how many times can you say it and how fast??? sounds like a beat right?
Here is my Pi day Pi Pie... ( sounds like a rap :-D)
It's a very basic choux pastry piped in pi shape. and filled with my creamy savory chicken filling ....
Follow my instructions and see if you like the taste of it like i do!

Step 1: Ingredients
Ingredients :
Choux Pastry
4oz/100g butter
250g flour
4 eggs (medium size would be perfect)
1/2 pint water
pinch of salt
Filling
100 g shredded chicken
100g mushrooms finely chopped
2 capsican chilli finely chopped
2 tbs coriander/ parsley leaves finely chopped
White sauce- 2tbs butter
2tbs flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk boiled with finely chopped onion and one garlic clove.
Step 2: Choux Pastry
Melt the butter with 1/2 pint water.and a pinch of salt...once melted add all the flour at once and mix well....and make a soft dough
once dough is cool add the egg one at a time and beat. before adding the last egg check for the thickness of the mixture ( if you are using medium eggs it shouldn't be a problem.
Pre- heat oven at at maximum heat.
now pipe a pi shape :D ( and sing along pipe a pi pie pipe a pi pie)
bake in the oven for 15- 20 min...do not let it get brown...then it would be crispy and difficult to slit open.

Step 3: Chicken Filling
Boil 100 g chicken with salt and pepper and 1 tbs of cooking sauce ( Worcester sauce is fine...this is just for flavor...you can skip the sauce if you don't have it). shred it
finely chop - 100 g of mushrooms , 2 capcican chilli , 2tbs corriandar/parsley leaves ,
Make the white sauce - boil 1 cup of milk with one finely chopped onion and 1 garlic clove... let it cool
In a pan melt 2tbs of butter...add 2 tbs of flour and mix...quickly add the milk....mix mix mix
add 1/2 tsp salt and pepper mix.
add the mushrooms the shredded chicken , capcican chilli and lastly the corriandar leaves.
Your filling is done!
