Introduction: Tiramisu!

Hello! Today I have made tiramisu and wanted to share it! Yes yes, tiramisu is a delicious rich, creamy, delightful Italian dessert! It even has cheese in it! A while ago, there was a terrific Italian restaurant that sadly closed down... and how I missed the tiramisu! So, why not make it myself? Tada! It bursts with flavors and is sure to keep you hopping up and down! So what are we waiting for?

Supplies

for the cream:

  • 1 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 8-9 ounces of mascarpone cheese
    For the base:
  • 7 ounces lady fingers
  • 1 cup coffee ( or espresso, it depends how strong you would like it! )
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
    for the top:
  • Roughly 1/2 cup of cocoa powder

Step 1: Whip the Cream

In a bowl with a mixer, pour your heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and sugar. Beat it until wisps of it poof up!

Step 2: Add the Mascarpone

Scoop the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream. You will want to start the mixer rather quickly so that it does not get stuck in the whisk. Do not over mix, should take a couple seconds for it to be fully combined.

Step 3: COFFEE!

Pour your coffee/ espresso into a small/medium bowl. Add your liquer..

Step 4: Dunking...

Take your lady fingers and quickly plop into the coffee mixture. It should be in and out. We do not want it soaking the mixture up otherwise it will be soggy. Place in an 8 or 9 inch pan. Only put half of them here! The bottom of it should have lady fingers displayed across it.

Step 5: Plop!

Take half of your cream mixture and plop it on top of the first layer of lady fingers, smother across it ready for the next step!

Step 6: Add!

Place your second layer of lady fingers onto the whip cream and make a layer as done before. Then add the rest of the cream mixture and smoothen out!

Step 7: Bedazzle

Your pan should be full now! Take your cocoa powder and sift it evenly and generously on top of the cream!

Step 8: Done!

Refrigerate your creation for about 2 hours or until set! Then scoop out and enjoy!

Thank you for looking at this recipe! I hope it keeps you up and going through the day!
