Overview
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks and express gratitude, sure. But what really brings people together is the food! Gravy, mashed potatoes, deep-fried turkey pyrotechnics — it's the season to bust out your ninja cooking skills, and even try a new recipe or two to amaze your guests.
So for all the creative cooks out there, CHOW.com and Instructables have teamed up to present the Thanksgiving Recipes Contest.
Simply write up an Instructable of your best recipe, or assemble a slideshow with inspiring food photography — it's that easy. Just don't forget to take pictures before your creation is devoured! Winners will be announced on CHOW.com on December 6.
You'll have a chance to win not only the best instant-read thermometer on the market, but a spot among CHOW.com's glorious library of recipes and slideshows. And of course, we'll throw in some fun Instructables and CHOW.com schwag.
Need inspiration? Browse Thanksgiving recipes on CHOW.com and Instructables, then get cooking! And if the sheer thought of cooking the Thanksgiving meal makes you panic, check out CHOW.com's new Thanksgiving Dinner Coach iPhone app, for step-by-step instructions to prepare a great holiday feast.
Multiple entries and international entries are accepted. Entrants can only win one prize.
Requirements
To enter the CHOW Thanksgiving Recipes Contest, make a new Instructable or slideshow that documents something tasty!
When publishing your Instructable you'll have the option of entering it then. Just check the appropriate box. If you missed it, don't worry, any eligible entries will show up on this page.
If nothing is showing up, it is because you do not have any eligible entries. Instructables must be published between Nov. 12 and Nov. 28.
Multiple entries are accepted, but each entrant can only win one prize. International entries are accepted.
Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Nov 11, 2010 and Nov 28, 2010 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select CHOW Thanksgiving Recipes Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
