Introduction: Old Book Clutch Bag

About: I'm just a girl, who likes fashion, chocolate, making stuff and turning stuff into other stuff. I'm sort of beginner but I plan on doing more instructables soon!
This is my first instructable so be kind!
So, I had this idea to make a book with a secret compartment, then this idea developed into a clutch bag, because I thought I would get more use out of it this way.
So first gather your materials, there are very little.
-An old hardback book, I bought mine at a charity shop for £2
-PVA Glue
-A brush, preferably old, so it doesn't really matter if it is ruined
-A Stanley Knife

Step 1: Cut It Out

-First mark a rectangle in the middle of the page to cut, I drew mine 2.5cm (1" approx.) from the edge.
-Then simply start to cut along the edge with the knife.
-As I cut deeper I gradually pulled out the pages.
-I didn't cut tp the very back of the book, I cut to roughly the middle, or a little bit more.

*Be careful to keep cutting directly down, I made this mistake and started cutting at an angle as you may be able to see.

Step 2: Glue It

-Paint PVA glue onto the inside edges of the hole. This will bond them together so the stuff inside won't just fall through the pages.
-Leave it over night to dry. I did this yesterday after school, and it was dry this morning.

Step 3: Is It Dry?

Now, just check if it's dry by tapping the edge.
Then fill it up!
Unfortunately I chose a pretty small book so mine only fits my phone, lipgloss and a small purse.

Step 4: Wear It

All finished! All that's left now is to style it up with some super outfits!
If anyone tries this I'd love to see some pictures! Enjoy
