Reproductions of Famous Paintings Made With Bacon!

So here we are, we have plenty of Bacon , a lot of time and just want to have fun ...

So what should we do?

The answer is pretty simple... why not try to reproduce the most famous paintings of the past using nothing but Bacon ?

Step 1: Materials

Yes, you guessed it. Bacon!

Step 2: The Bacon Palette

Buy different cuts of Bacon, from different brands.

Cut and tear the slices of Bacon.

Sort them by shape , color , texture ...

Step 3: Choose a Famous Painting to Be Reproduced

Choosing a famous painting to reproduce is just up to you;
anyway, you should avoid those paintings with too much details,
and look for those that have a style that makes them easy to reproduce with slices and strips of Bacon!

For my personal taste, Van Gogh paintings and The Scream from Edvard Munch are perfect subjects. Let's go!

When you have decided, print the painting in A4 paper, and put it on you workplace. Cover with a piece of glass or clear acrylic.

Step 4: Reproduce It!

It may take a lot of time and patience!

Just follow the guide and redraw the painting, by putting the strips of bacon on the glass or acrylic plate.

Step 5: Results

Here is what I came up after one afternoon of Bacon painting...

For The Starry Night reproduction i just shifted the colors of the photo to blue, no other actions where made in Photoshop.
