Step 1: WHAT YOU NEED

MATERIAL:

-thick hide/leather scraps;

-waxed thread;

-snap button.

TOOLS:

-scissors;

-marker;

-leather glue;

-hole punch;

-leather awl;

-snap button tool;

-rubber mallet;

-hard plastic/wood surface.

Step 2: PATTERN

This is the simple pattern of the wallet, with the measurements, and the holes for the snap button.

Step 3: MARK

Mark the pattern on the leather.

Step 4: CUT

Cut the leather.

Step 5: PUNCH HOLES

Punch the holes for the snap button.

Step 6: BUTTONS

Place the snap button.

Step 7: GLUE

Glue the front and the back of the wallet.

(Optional. I do it just because this way it is faster to punch the holes all the way around without the two part of leather moving away from each other).

Step 8: PUNCH HOLES

Punch holes all the way around.

Step 9: START SEWING

Start sewing: pass with the needle in between the two layers of leather, let a little bit of thread out on a side.

I wax my own thread.

Step 10: SEW

Sew all the way up on a side, than on the other side, than back where you started (see photos).

Do few more stitches more, so that it is not going to be unthread.

Step 11: FINISH SEWING

Exit again in between the two layers of leather.

Cut away thread left overs.

Step 12: DONE

You are done!

You don't feel like to make one? Here is the ones I sell!
