Introduction: Webcam Wide-angle Lensmod
Here is a short step-by-step on how i added a wide angle lens to one of my webcams. Its a super easy mod and Im happy with the results. I doesn´t improve the image quality, but from what I can tell, it doesn´t make it worse either.
I had a couple of Linksys WVC54GCA and I wanted these to have better wideangle.
I had a little cellphone fisheye from visualante, so I figured that these could be combined easily.
Just putting the lens in fron of the camera caused serious vignetting and the picture was out of focus.
Step 1 was to remove the sticky jelly around the base of the lens.

Step 1: Opening the Webcam
This was just a matter of carefully inserting a flathead screwdriver in the side of the camerahousing. The top is held in place with clips, so don´t break these.
Step 2: Drilling a Hole
The cellphone lens was 16mm, and I happened to have a 16mm drill. I still hade to widen the hole slighly with a rotary tool.
Step 3: Inserting the Lens
Just put the lens in the hole and secure with superglue.
Step 4: Assembly
