Introduction: Bacon Chocolate Chip Scones!

The two Best things in the world... CHOCOLATE and BACON!

United at last!!!

These scones are so good with a nice hot cup of Earl Grey Tea (if you want to be all fancy :)

Step 1: The Recipe

SCONES
2 3/4 cups of Flour
1/3 cup of Sugar
1/2 teaspoon of Salt
1 tablespoon of Baking Powder
1/2 cup of Butter
1 cup of Chocolate Chips
1 cup of Cooked Bacon Chopped
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup of Milk
(bake at 425 degrees for about 15 minutes)

MAPLE GLAZE
2 cups of Powder Sugar
1/2 teaspoon of Maple Syrup
6 tablespoons of Milk

Step 2: Dough Step 1

Cut the butter (chilled) into the flour
*if you don't have the proper dough cutter gizmo for that, a food processor also works just fine.
You can use a whisk and simply jab at the mixture until it is the consistency of thick lumpy sand (like you are making a pie crust)

After you have achieved this, go ahead and mix in the remaining ingredients (except for the chocolate chips and bacon)

*definitely use a nice bendy spatula for this task!
if you use the whisk, it all gets stuck inside and is a pain in the booty to get out.
Also avoid using your hands. This dough is very sticky! It has a magical impossible to remove texture. and it is evil. but yummy.

Step 3: Dough Step 2

Now add those yummy Bacons and Chocolate Chips!

Then put the sticky dough onto a nicely floured surface. And flour your hands!

Step 4: Last Dough Step

Now flatten out your dough and mold it into the shape of a long rectangle.

Now, using a knife, cute that big boy into several small triangles.

Place those little guy onto a greased baking sheet. (I used bacon grease! Eeeeeeee!)

Top them off with some yummy little bacon niblets. oooooooh yeeeeeah

Step 5: Bake!

425 degrees for about 15 minutes!

I can hardly wait!!!!

To keep yourself occupied during the baking process, you can begin making your Maple Glaze!

Step 6: Maple Glaze!

Combine your ingredients into a bowl and whisk them up with a fork

Be pretty precise with your measurements or the glaze will not harden and you will have soggy scones. bleh.

mmmm the Maple-y goodness

Step 7: Combine!

After those lovely little scones have cooled a bit, give them a nice drizzle!  Fo Shizzle.

Now eat them!!!! Yeeeeee!
