About: I love making things for my family, and our home. I grew up in a very large family with a mom that could make the most out of what we had. I love trying to be creative, although it doesn't come easy to me. Bu…

This is a husband approved recipe!!! Why waste the bacon fat? Bacon is a little piece of heaven and none of the flavor should go to waste. I thought of the best breakfast pair to tag along with bacon, pecans and french toast were the perfect combination. Beware though because this heart stopping food party is a great way to start the day but too hard to only eat one!!!!

What you need for toast:
4 slices of bread
2 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
2 Tablespoons of milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 Tablespoons bacon fat for greasing the pan

What you need for toppings:
Crumbled bacon
4 Tablespoons chopped pecans
4 scoops butter pecan icecream

What you need for Carmel sauce:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup bacon fat
1/2 Tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1: Prepare

Cook your bacon. I cook mine in the microwave on a safe plate so I can do other things while it cooks.
I cooked mine set to high for 9 minutes.
Drain the fat out of the dish and pour 2 Tablespoons of it onto a pan and save 1/2 cup for later.
Crumble your bacon and set it aside.
Chop your pecans to small size and place 1 cup of them on a plate.
Prepare your french toast - mix eggs, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk in a bowl.

Step 2: Make the French Toast

Heat your pan on medium heat.
Dip your slice of bread into the egg mixture.
Coat both sides but don't soak them.
Then place the bread on top the pecans and cover both sides.
Place in your pan and cook both sides.

Step 3: Make Carmel Sauce

Mix milk, bacon fat, brown sugar, sugar, flour, and vanilla in pan.
Heat to boiling, and stir for 3 minutes.

Step 4: Put It All Together

Place cooked french toast on plate.
Top with scoop of icecream.
Sprinkle bacon bits and left over pecans on top.
Drizzle bacon Carmel sauce over everything.
Take a bite of heaven!!!!
