Introduction: DIY-Simple Water Level Indicator With Water Flow Signal for Just 50rs/1$

How to make a water level indicator to save water from overflowing with Motor Dry run prevention.

A water level indicator is used to show the level of water in an over head tank. This keeps the user informed about the water level at all times and avoids the situation of water running out when it is most needed.

There are many videos on youtube But this one is unique because this water level indicator circuit also has an water flow signal.

It not only indicates the amount of water present in the overhead tank but also gives the water inlet signal so that dry run can be prevented.

Step 1: Requirements:-

1. Transistor BC547 -- 6 no's

2. Led's - 4 no's

3. Resistor 330 ohm - 6 no's

4. Resistor 4.7k ohm - 6 no's

5. Resistor 10k ohm - 6 no's

6. LCD back light LED (can use normal LED also)- 1 no

7. Small PCB

8. 9V Battery with Clip - 1 no

9. Female connector - 1 no

10.Some Wires.

For sensor arrangement(see sensor arrangement diagram:-

1. PVC pipe 1" (length based on your tank height).

2. CAT6 communication cable - (from Overhead tank to water level - indiactor circuit board).

3. Copper wire- 18 gauge ( to wound in pvc pipe at various levels - - as sensor).

4. PVC coupling for water inlet pipe (based on your pipe size) - 1 no

5. 2 screws to fix in the coupling for water flow sensor.

Level Water Level Indicator Installation details.

Installation of our water level indicator system is a very simple task and we have made the system in such a way that it is possible to install the system yourself.

The task of installation comprises of two parts, the Power Connection and the Sensing Connection.

The Power Connection to the Water Level Indicator is nothing but 5v DC input. Sensing Cable Connection to Water Level Indicator.

STEP 1 - The sensing wires comprises of one bunch of six coloured wires.

STEP 2 - Do complete sensing wiring from Water Level Indicator to Overhead Tank.

STEP 3 - Connect the sensing wires to the Water Level Indicator unit, simply twist the wires to the respective wires of Water Level Indicator unit as per sensor arrangement diagram.

* Set the level of Common sensor

* Set the level of 25% sensor

* Set the level of 25% sensor

* Set the level of 50% sensor

* Set the level of 75% sensor

* Set the level of 100% sensor

* Set the flow sensor in inlet pipe as shown in the Diagram.

Note:

The Sensing wire from the unit to the indicator unit should be a one-piece wire and there should be absolutely no joints in these Sensing wires and these wires should not be damaged in any way. SAVE WATER SAVE POWER CONSERVE ENERGY
