Giant Peony Flowers!

These are beautiful--and they are BIG! They are about 18 inches wide!

They make a great photo or party backdrop!

They would be gorgeous as decorations!

They would also be perfection as a big bouquet for a loved one for Valentine's Day!

Best part, they are made of just paper!

Step 1: Supplies

You will need paper!

3 sheets of 12X12 square paper for the petals (graduating colors)

1 2X12 inch strip of yellow for the center

1 8 inch circle in green for the center

Scissors, hot glue/gun

~

I did these with my daughter and my 2 adorable nieces.

I drew out random teeth/heart shapes and told the girls to cut them out.

I used 3 sheets of 12 by 12 paper for each flower petals.

All graduating in color.

Then they set out to cut them.

~

Cut out 6 large petals from the darkest colored paper

Cut out 8 medium petals from the mid shade paper

And cut 8 small petals and 5 tear drop shaped petals from the lightest paper.

Step 2: Flower Making!

Cut the yellow strip 1/2 inch from the edge in 1/4" fringes.

Roll it up and hot glue it in place.

Curl the yellow fringes out to fan out.

Next, glue the tear drop shaped petals around the center.

Crinkle and glue the darkest/biggest petals on the circle.

Layer the petals.

Add them where they look good.

Curl the edges to give it that 3D effects!

Add the center with a bunch of hot glue.

Step 3: Make More and Enjoy Your Bouquet!

Repeat a million times! These are so pretty and look great!

They add major impact in a room or as decor!

I love decorating with paper!
