Introduction: How to Create an Old Fashioned TNT Plunger in Minecraft

This guide will teach you how to make Wild West like TNT plungers with fuses.

Step 1: Step 1: Identify What You Want to Blow Up

You need to figure out what you want to blow up, whether it be from a wall with cracks in it, to mounds of rubble and or stone.

Step 2: Step 2: Create the Plunger

Create the plunger by putting a block, a fence, and a pressure plate on top. Make sure to put a 2 block tall wall, and 1 block tall extension to not only wire the plunger to the TNT, but to also protect yourself from getting hurt :).

Step 3: Step 3: Wiring the Plunger to the Mounds

Take redstone repeaters and place a bunch of them so that they go into the wall or mound that you wish to destroy. Don't forget to leave a space to place your TNT!

Step 4: Step 4: a Friendly Reminder

Make sure your repeaters all look like the ones on the right, and not the ones on the left. You can do this by simply right clicking on the repeater until it is in this position. This will give it a realistic fuse delay action, as well as let you take cover behind the makeshift wall you constructed.

Step 5: Step 5: Place the TNT

Your final step, place the TNT block in a spot where it will efficiently destroy the wall or mound you are trying to get rid of.

Step 6: Step 6: Watch Your TNT Explode in All Its Glory

Now that everything has been set up, step on your plunger and watch the TNT explode. This TNT plunger is perfect to be used in a Wild West-esque adventure maps, where the player is in adventure mode (where they cannot break blocks), but still need to break or remove obstacles from their path.
