Introduction: No-Machine Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt

I found this fabulous recipe on www.domesticrebel.com. It's so unbelievably amazing, so I decided to share it with all of you! (All credit to Hayley)

My favorite part about this recipe is that it's actually cookie dough FLAVORED ice cream. Not vanilla with chunks of frozen cookie dough in it. ACTUAL cookie dough frozen yogurt!

This recipe is super easy and fast, and requires no ice cream maker or machine of any sort! Just your own hands and a few basic tools around the house. Plus, it's not as unhealthy as lots of store-bought brands, so you won't feel guilty after eating a tub or two of it. And you don't have to worry about having as much cookie dough as you want becuase it's egg free. Let's get started!

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need

1/4 cup softened butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp milk

1 cup flour

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup mini chocolate chips (these will remain whole, so it's up to you what kind you want)

1 cup vanilla yogurt (I used my local grocery store's brand that came in little serving-sized packs, each pack 1 cup, so I just used the whole thing without a measuring cup)

OPTIONAL

2 tbsp softened butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp milk

1/2 cup flour

1/8 tsp salt

Step 2: Making the Dough

DO NOT USE THE 'OPTIONAL' INGREDIENTS. Use the ingredients above the optional ones, which were in larger quantitis than the optional ones.

In a bowl, (make sure it's freezer safe) combine the butter, brown sugar, and regular sugar. Stir until creamy using a rubber spatula.

Stir in the vanilla extract and milk.

Stir in the flour and salt.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Step 3: Adding the Yogurt

Now fold in the yogurt until it's mixed in fully with the cookie dough. Cover the bowl with the lid and freeze overnight. (Or make this in the morning before school or work, and when you get back, treat yourself to an instant dessert!)

Step 4: (OPTIONAL) Cookie Dough Bites

Combine the OPTIONAL butter and sugars together (smaller quantities) and stir until creamy.

Add the vanilla extract and milk. Stir.

Add the flour and salt. Stir.

Add the chocolate chips. Stir.

Place a nonstick baking sheet on a freezer-safe pan.

Take small balls of cookie dough from the new bowl and place them on the baking sheet.

Freeze overnight or longer.

Step 5: Topping Time!!

Remove the frozen yogurt and cookie dough balls from the freezer and open up the bowl. take the frozen cookie dough bites and put some on the ice cream, stirring them in if needed. Top the ice cream with more chocolate chips if desired.

Get creative! Try chcolate syrup, nuts, fruit, caramel, anything you want!
