Introduction: Paint That Old System Into Something Great

John 7:18

New International Version (NIV)

18 Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

Have you ever had an old system that either does not work or you do not use it? Is it worth nothing? Well I can help you use it for good instead of throwing it away. I will show you a step by step plan on how make your system into a work of art.

Step 1: Preparing the System

You first have to prepare the system for painting. I am using a Game Cube since that is what I have. If you have another system just follow the procedure based on your system. Clean the system of anything that would show through the paint. I suggest using Windex. Do not use any oil based cleaners for this because the paint you will be using is oil based not water based. Then tape every inch that is exposed to the inside of the system.

Step 2: Create a Design and Put It to Use

First things first. It is all up to you. This is your design. I taped a section I did not want painted and made a cross. Select the colors you plan to use. If your service is not rough you need to spray a coat of primer before proceeding forward. Sanding it will make it look rough and that is not a good look. When you go to paint spray, you have to go back and forth making sure not to spray to thick. You do not want globs of paint or paint running under the tape. Be sure not to be a dusty area. You do not want dust to show in the paint. I choose gold, white, and black spray paint. I did a splatter paint effect by spraying in different areas to get the effect. I thought it turned out great. When pealing the tape away, wait till it is fully dry or you will get paint that smears on the part you did not want painted. When done cherish the work you have done because it is in your image.

Step 3: "That's All Folks!"

In the end your system, like mine, now looks better then ever. My inspiration for mine was God Almighty and my faith in Jesus Christ.
