Introduction: * Scrumptious Peanut Putter Pie
This pie is perfect! Perfect by itself or add a layer of whipped topping to the top and some chopped roasted peanuts, mini peanut butter cups, or whipping cream. So delicious it was gone in a flash!
Step 1: Ingredients:
11/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
11/4 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
8 oz. tub cool whip, room temperature
1/3 cup chocolate shavings (Lindt Excellence 85% Cocoa Extra Dark)
6 oz. Oreo pie crust
Step 2: Directions:
*In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and confectioners’sugar.
Step 3:
*Start mixer on LOW speed to prevent confectioners' sugar flying everywhere... Then with mixer set on medium/low speed, mix cut the peanut butter into the confectioners’ sugar. Mixing until mixture resembles coarse sand and the largest butter pieces are not much bigger than peas.
Step 4:
Add the cream cheese to the mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed until mixture is smooth, scraping the sides as needed.
Step 5:
*Add in the vanilla, mix, until evenly combined.
Step 6:
Add the cool whip to the mixture. Beat the mixture thoroughly until combined, scraping the sides as necessary.
Step 7:
Add the chocolate shavings, gently fold into filling, until evenly combined, aping the sides of bowl as
necessary.
Step 8:
Pour the filling into crust and spread out evenly. Refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours.
Step 9: Serving:
Keep refrigerated. Serving: 6-8 servings.
Step 10:
You can serve this pie as is, or add sweetened whipped cream and grated chocolate , either way - this pie is creamy goodness!!
