Introduction: 10 Minute Solder Dispenser

About: My name is Aron, and I have worked in the IT industry for 10 years. I enjoy the outdoors and have been addicted to instructables for years.
This is a cheap, easy solder dispenser which is refillable.

MATERIALS:
1- Expo marker or permanent marker with a removeable end.

1- Pair of needle nose pliers

1- Roll of solder, your choice of thickness and metal material

1- Round object that you can fit inside your marker

Step 1: Gutting

Use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the end and tip of the marker out. Discard the tip. Also remove and discard the ink sponge. You may need to clean the inside of the marker with a tissue.

Step 2: Wrapping.

Wrap your solder around a pen or round object that can fit inside the marker. After that, simply pull the solder off the marker being careful not to smash it. If the solder won't fit inside the marker you can tighten the coil by holding one end snug in your hand and twisting the other (ever rolled a peice of paper and put one finger in it and spun it to make it tighter?)

Straighten about 2 or 3 inches of solder so that you can thread it through the tip of the marker.

Step 3: Done!

Finally, pull some solder out the end or put the cap back on if you don't need to solder anything. Mine holds approximately 4 feet of solder. As always, WASH YOUR HANDS if you handled solder that contains led. Mine did. Thanks for reading!
