Introduction: 3 Unusual Ways to Cool Coca Cola

There are many ways you can cool a Coca-Cola bottle without the fridge.

In this Instructable, we'll have a look at unusual ways to do it.

We'll be using a room temperature Coca-Cola in a glass bottle.

Some of these ways are not practical, that's why they are unusual.

You never know what can come handy one day!

Step 1: Using a Vacuum Chamber

You go to your local maker-space and find out that they don't have a fridge or ice.

How are you suppose to cool those drinks you brought for everyone?

If they have a vacuum chamber, you're in luck!

Did you know you can chill a bottle in a vacuum chamber?

I wrapped the bottle with a wet cloth and put it in the vacuum chamber for 20 minutes.

The temperature of the Coca-Cola dropped from around 23°C (73.4 °F) to 4.3°C (39.7 °F)

WARNING:

Some vacuum pumps are not designed for this kind of purpose - Running for 20 minutes non-stop and extracting moisture.

Step 2: With an Air Duster

If you use the Air duster (air in a can) upside down, it will be able to freeze things.

I sprayed the bottle and watched the ice forming around the bottle.

After 2 or 3 minutes of waiting, I checked the temperature.

The temperature of the Coca-Cola dropped from around 23°C (73.4 °F) to 3,8°C (38.8 °F)

It's a very quick way to cool the bottle, but it's not cost effective.

Step 3: Drill, Magnet, Ice

I put some ice in the jug and covered it with water.

I also added some salt to help the ice melt faster.

I blended the ice and made a slushy.

Then I put the bottle in the jug and used the drill to spin it.

Magnet will let you spin the bottle from the side.

After 3 minutes of spinning, the temperature dropped to 4,9°C (40.8 °F)
