Introduction: 3D Model House
This is how I made my 3DS Max house project.
Step 1: Create the House
The first step is to create the outside of the house. You can do this by attaching 4 outer walls together, creating the inner walls using boxes in whatever shape you like, and making the floors by adding planes with different colors or textures and grouping them together. Next you can make the windows by making boxes to cut out the sides of walls. You can do the same for the doorframes, and then you can make boxes for the doors.
Step 2: Create the Bedroom
For my bedroom, I made the floor a red carpet to differentiate from the halls. I created a bed using two smooth boxes inside of each other, and two more smooth boxes for the pillows. I created the desk by extruding the inside of a square, and the chair by extruding the chair legs from a box. The closet and wardrobe were made from other boxes grouped together.
Step 3: Create the Living Room
This one was simple. I created the bed out of a red box, and extruded various different parts of it. The couch was one of the most challenging parts of the house because I couldn't get it to extrude quite right. I also did the same for the chair, and the TV was made from two intersecting boxes.
Step 4: Create the Kitchen
First of all, sorry that the picture is sideways, it just came out like that for some reason. I used a checker material for the floor here, and added a marble material to make the island more realistic. The counters were made from a box, and the oven was made using 4 cylinders for a stovetop and a thin door. The refridgerator was made similar to the bedroom wardrobe, except vertical.
Step 5: Create the Bathroom
I made the toilet using a sphere for the bowl, which I extruded into a hollow interior, and attaching it onto a few boxes. The bath was created out of a cube that I extruded on the inside, and I made the shower head out of a cylinder attached to a box. I made the sink the same way as the bath, and the sink faucet was made from an extruded cube.
Step 6: Create the Dining Room
Finally, the table was made from a square that was extruded for the table legs. I copied the toilet bowl, recolored it, and scaled it down in order to create the spoon, which was copied for each spot. The fork was made from a box that was extruded 4 times for the prongs, and copied a few times. The chairs were made the same way as the chair in the bedroom, and the plates are just thin cylinders.
