Introduction: 3D Printed Screwdriver, Drill Pen and Ruler Holder

As part of continuously improving my garage workshop I built a 3D printed holder for all my most commonly used tools. For the past few months all these tools have been sitting in my tool bag on the floor of the garage, and I finally got fed up with having to dig through the bag to get them, so I spent a few hours in solid works designing this custom holder.

I recognize that this is designed around my custom toolset, which will look different from everyone else's, but I thought this would serve as good food for thought for others building similar holders. I also included the 2015 solidworks files, so if you have Solidworks 2015 or newer you can mod the design to suit your tastes and tool sets.

My tools:

  • Klein 11 in 1 screwdriver
  • Craftsman ratcheting screwdriver
  • Wiha philips and flathead precision screwdrivers
  • Incra T-RuleScribe
  • Deburing tool
  • Auto-center punch
  • 3x Sharpie / pen holders
  • Small drill index

Step 1:

I printed this holder on my Prusa I3 MK3 with a 0.6mm nozzel in 13 hours. I can not more highly recommend using these larger format nozzles for these functional prints. They dramatically cut down on print time.
