Introduction: A Case and Calculator for the Lilygo T-Display-S3 Touch Development Board.
I designed this case for the "Lilygo T-Display-S3 Touch Development Board" which features a 320 by 170 color display and a touch screen. I'm planning on using this board in upcoming projects and decided to create this case for it.
In order to learn the development board features, I wrote software in the Arduino environment for a simple four function calculator. Our grandkids love playing with this tiny calculator, and their fingers fit the keypad better than mine! I hope you enjoy it!
As usual, I probably forgot a file or two or who knows what else, so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask as I do make plenty of mistakes.
Software designed using Arduino environment, case was designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced using Ultimaker Cura 4.12.1 and 3D printed in PLA on Ultimaker S5s.
Step 1: 3D Printing, Assembly and Software.
I 3D printed the case at .15mm layer height with 20% infill and no supports. The video shows how I assembled the case. I've included the Autodesk Fusion 360 .f3d file if you decide to modify the case.
As for the software, the sample software provided by Lilygo did not always work as is, so after much digging through their examples, I finally resolved the issues and created a simple four function calculator using the touch screen for the calculator keypad. I've included the Arduino files required for compiling and downloading the calculator program to the development board and a screen shot of the Arduino tools settings I used.
Best wishes!
