Introduction: Application Thermal Waterproofing System

Prepare the substrate properly (remove all loose material, oils, dust and protruding objects). Clear the surface thoroughly and level as much as possible.

Step 1: Thermal Waterproofing System

Prepare the substrate properly (remove all loose material, oils, dust and protruding objects). Clear the surface thoroughly and level as much as possible.

Step 2:

Using a notched trowel, apply to the surface the appropriate mortar adhesive, ULTRACOLL THERMO, at approximate thickness of 10mm.

Step 3:

Using a notched trowel, apply to the surface the appropriate mortar adhesive, ULTRACOLL THERMO, at approximate thickness of 10mm.

Step 4:

Coat the surface of the thermal insulation panels with the Quartz base Acrylic Primer DS-255
(two layers crosswise).

Step 5:

Continuing, after 24 hours apply to the surface (in thicknesses from 4-10cm) the fiber fortified cement screed, D-6 reinforced by using the fiberglass mesh, DS- 090. Alternately, use traditional screed containing gravel, sand and cement at a ratio of 1:3:1, reinforced with steel/metallic mesh.

Step 6:

Soak the entire surface with water, 3-4 times within the next 24 hours.

Step 7:

Begin coating the surface, approximately 1m wide each time, with the cementitious waterproofing mortar HYDROSTOP ROOF.

Step 8:

Apply and incase the fiberglass mesh on the coated surface, 1m wide at the time and continue with the next strip making sure to overlap each piece about 10cm at every junction. Continue on the entire surface until completion of the first coat of HYDROSTOP ROOF.
