Black Mask's Mask for Halloween

I made this for last halloween in a couple of days for next to nothing.

This is the first instructable I have ever made so I'm not sure if I can use this editor properly etc.

Step 1: 1. Copy Your Head

First thing I did was, I wrapped my head with plastic wrap covering my hair and put soap (or vaseline) to cover my eyebrows and other facial hair. Then applied plaster strips on the front half of my head. After it had dried I took it off and did the same thing for the back of my head (you might need some help in this part)

Step 2: 2. Basic Mask

Now that you have your halves, it's time to put them together. I did this by applying masking tape on the seam and around the bottom. You also probably want to trim some excess off the bottom.

Step 3: 3. the Fun Begins

Now that you have your basic head you can start to make the details. I used scissors and a carpet knife to make the eye holes, nostrils and mouth holes. I also shaped the nose with masking tape to make it more angular.

Step 4: 4. Starting With the Shape

To make the cheekbones I crumbled newspaper and attached it to the mask with masking tape. I may have put my cheekbones too high and close to the eyeholes. I put the masking tape trough the eye holes to smooth the plaster strips' rough edges.

Step 5: 5. All the Final Details

The eyebrow ridges and the chin are made the similar way as the cheekbones but with more narrow newspaper stuffings. The mouth holes and nostrils are carved longer and the edges smooth with masking tape.

Step 6: 6. Paint

I painted the whole thing with one coat of black acrylic paint. I first planned on making some detailing with grey or silver paint, but I was pretty happy how good it turned out so I didn't.

Step 7: 7. Finished

Grab a white suit with black shirt if you have, I didn't so I took a black suit with a red shirt. I also put a thin ski mask under the mask to cover my neck and hair.
