Introduction: Bunny Egg Salad

About: I am married with two children. Spring, summer, and fall are my very favorite times of the year. I enjoy working in the yard, sewing, cooking, quilting, gardening, and creating. I do this to keep my sanity.
Boiled eggs are a good source of protein and kids love them packed in their school lunches for a healthy treat. This instructable will show you how I made this cute bunny salad.

Step 1: Ingredients

Left over salad.
2 Pepper corns or sprinkles for eyes
1 Sprinkle for mouth (heart shaped)
1 Sprinkle for nose
Black food marker or I used food coloring paste.
Boiled egg
Skewer to poke the holes for the eyes if using pepper corns or you could use a toothpick.

Step 2: Peel Eggs

Peel the eggs.
You can cut the eggs in half or just trim off a thin section from the back of the egg to cut the shape of the ears.

Step 3: Carve Ears

Carve the ears as shown.
Poke the eyes with the skewer. ( not necessary if you use sprinkles)

Step 4: Decorate

Add the pepper corn eyes or use sprinkles.
Add a round pink sprinkle nose.
Add a sprinkle heart shaped mouth.
Using the black food marker draw eyebrows and whiskers.
Place him on top of the salad!
Isn't he cute?

I have not been able to find the food grade markers in my area so I used black paste food coloring but I think markers would be easier to use.
