Cardboard Car

In this instructable, we took two cardboard boxes and created them into a car. This was a nice and easy process (other than the coloring in parts) to make. It shouldn't take any more than an hour to put together, and maybe 3 thirty minutes to color.

Supplies

2 unfolded cardboard boxes

Scissors

markers - black, grey

colored pencils - white, yellow, red

masking tape or duct tape

Step 1: Folding the Boxes

You're going to take your boxes in fold them, so it looks like you could place something in them. Meaning folding one end and leaving the other end open.

Step 2: Windshield

On one of the boxes take the flap and mark out a little rectangle. With the rectangle, you're going to cut it out with a pair of scissors.

Step 3: Hood

On the top of your box, you're going to mark two lines parallel to each other and cut them out, so you can place the rectangle from the windshield into the two lines.

Step 4: Rear Windshield

On the other box, you're going to do the same thing as the first one. Make sure that the front windshield and the rear are on the same side.

Step 5: Headlights

One the front of the first box, mark out two squares on the top in white colored pencil and two rectangles towards the bottom. With the two top squares make an L shape in yellow and color it all in.

Step 6: Taillights

On the back of the rear windshield box, draw out two rectangles in red and color them in. Put a grey box in the marker right between the two to act as a license plate.

Step 7: Tires

Mark out four squares on the sides of the boxes that aren't open, nor have tail or headlights. Then draw a little square in the middle of them and draw lines out to act as rims.

Step 8: Doors

On the side flaps of the first box with the front windshield draw-out doors. Then cut out the top empty part to act as a window.

Step 9: Finishing Parts

Put the two boxes together with the windshields on top. Tape the bottom flap with tape and wrap it around for extra support. Then take a piece of tap to the front door and back door. Do that on both sides and you have completed the cardboard box.
