Create your own vintage inspired camera box purse with readily available materials!

Step 1: Materials

You'll need one small priority mail box
Duct tape in your favorite colors - I used what we had, which is run-of-the-mill, boring silver.
Scissors
Paper Clip
Button (non-shank)

Step 2: Step One

Gather all materials.
Remove the tabs from the box

Step 3: Connect Box

Fold the box at the creases.
Your box is going to be discombobulated at this point, so take two 4" pieces of duct tape and tape the sides of the box together.

Step 4: Wrapping

Starting at the beveled edged, carefully place your duct tape so 1/2" hangs over the end.
Begin wrapping the box with duct tape, one row at a time.
Each row should cover roughly a 1/2" of the previous row.
Continue until box is completely covered.

Step 5: Buttoning

Cut 2 pieces of duct tape 7" long. Lay one piece on top of the other to create a non-sticky fabric. This is the strap that closes your purse. Cut a 4" square piece of duct tape, and use it to affix the strap to the center of your box.

Twist the paper clip to break apart. Thread the clip through your button's holes. Press the button/clip piece into the strap to mark where it will be placed.

Using the button piece, pierce a hole in the box to attach the button/clip to the box. From inside the box, spread the clip (like you would a brad) and cover with 2 layers of 4" square duct tape. This will prevent poking!

Once attached, cut a slit in the strap for a button hole.

Step 6: Strap and Done!

Personally, this was the most challenging part of the project!
Measure out a length of duct tape, sufficient to your needs. Ex: Long for a shoulder bag, shorter for one worn at the bend in the elbow.

CAREFULLY fold the piece in half, sticky to sticky.
Cut off a 4" square piece of tape and attach your strap to either the outside or inside of the box.
Repeat for other side.

Voila! You're done!
