Introduction: Cardboard and Duct Tape AC3 Tomahawk
This tutorial will teach you how to create a tomahawk from Assassin's Creed 3. My first one took me three hours to make, but I was figuring it out as I went, so it'll take you less than that. It's pretty durable and I think it looks good. If you make one, post a picture in the comments so I can see it, and don't forget to vote for me in the Cardboard and Duct Tape contest!
Step 1: Materials
The materials you will need are:
A cardboard tube (from a tinfoil roll, not paper towel)
Brown and chrome (normal gray works too) duct tape
Corrugated cardboard
Black straps (got mine from an old backpack)
Paper
X-acto knife/box cutter
Scissors
Hot glue
Twine
and Feathers (brown, black, and red feathers look good)

Step 2: Rough Marks
Find a picture of the tomahawk and mark down on the tube where the blade and handle starts.
Step 3: Cover the Area With Tape
Cover the area between your two marks with the brown duct tape.
Step 4: Closing the Ends
Trace the tube openings on the cardboard twice. Cut them out and hot glue them to each end of your tube. Cover them with thin strips of the brown tape.
Step 5: Making the Stencils
Lightly tape the tube onto the piece of paper. Draw the blades onto the paper, this might take a few tries so use a pencil.
Step 6: Cutting Out the Stencils
Take the tube off the paper and cut out the blade drawings. These will be your stencils for when you cut out the actual blades.
Step 7: Tracing the Blades
Trace the stencils onto the cardboard. I used single-ply cardboard so I traced them each 3 times to get the right thickness.
Step 8: Cutting Out the Blades
Cut out the blades using your X-acto knife or box cutter. Scissors will also work but the edges won't be as neat.
Step 9: Glueing Them Together
Line up the individual cut outs and glue them together.
Step 10: Cover With Tape
Cover the pieces with thin strips of chrome tape, except for the part that you will glue to the tube.
Step 11: Make Blade Setting
Cover the area you marked on the tube as the blade, with the chrome tape. Leave a little bit on the ends brown.
Step 12: Glue Blades On
Hot glue the blades onto the chrome part of the tube. Let it dry, and then reinforce it with tape.
Step 13: Wrap With Twine
Take the twine and wrap it so it looks like this on both sides of the tomahawk. Hot glue the twine in place.
Step 14: Making the Handle
Now to make the handle. Take the back pack straps and glue them like this on the area you marked as the handle. Do this all around the tube. It should look like the bottom picture.
Step 15: You're Done!
In the game, Connor's tomahawk has feathers hanging off of it. I did this with twine and two feathers.
