Introduction: How to Make a Cat Plush.
This is a cat stuffy that is extremely easy to create and uses minimal materials. My little sister (who is younger than 10) loves this and she really enjoys making them too. I think we have around 5 different cat stuffies lying around our house now.
Supplies
Materials:
-One pair of fluffy socks
-Some black beads
-thread (preferably white or black)
-stuffing
Tools:
-Sewing Needle
-scissors
-marker
Step 1:
Step 1: Flip one of the socks inside out and draw the shape outlined in green on the sock.
Step 2:
Step 2:
Cut out the part outlined in pink. This is going to be the main body.
Next, sew the pink outline together using a backstitch.
Backstitch:
Make a single, straight stitch (1-2) as long or short as you want. (I make mine approx 1/4" or a bit shorter.) Continue along your pattern line, but come up a space ahead (3) and bring your needle back down into the same hole at the end of the last stitch you made. You are bringing your stitch back to the end of the last one.
Step 3:
Step 3:
Cut a slit where you want the head to go. Flip the sock so that it is no longer inside out then fill it with stuffing. Then sew the slit you cut together. (so that there is no longer a hole)
Step 4:
Step 4: First flip the other sock inside out then cut the toe part of the other sock like this. Sew half of the toe part together (the part you just cut) using backstitch. Then flip the sock so it is no longer inside out. Stuff with stuffing and then sew the rest of the head together.
Step 5:
Step 5:
Sew on the eyes, nose and whiskers. Use beads for eyes. For the nose and whiskers, I just sewed at the same spot multiple times.
Step 6:
Step 6: now cut out this shape ( use the same sock you used for the head) and then sew it together, and stuff it.
Step 7:
Step 7: Now you will sew all the parts together. (the head, body, and tail) I used a white thread because it is the least visible colour that I could find to go with the colours (pink and white).
Step 8:
Step 8 : enjoy what you have made ! :D
