Introduction: Cheap DIY Cleaning Products
I love that feeling after cleaning the house. When there is that amazing fresh smell and everything seems shiny. What I don’t love is the price of those cleaning products I have to buy to have a clean house.
As a couple of students were looking for any way to reduce our expenses.
And not cleaning is defiantly not an option…
So, I decided to come up with a cheap substitute for any of those products I clean with.
All products are made of cheap ingredients you can find at any local grocery store.

Step 1: All-purpose Cleaner
Step 2: All-purpose Cleaner Preparation
Mix vinegar, soda and essential oil together in a spray bottle.
Usable on any surface.
Estimated cost: 1.11$ for third of a spray bottle
Step 3: Window Cleaning Spray
Step 4: Window Cleaning Spray Preparation
Mix vinegar, water, cornstarch and alcohol in a spray bottle.
Usable on any glass surfaces.
Estimated cost: 1.04$ for whole spray bottle
Step 5: Toilet Bombs

Mix citric acid, baking soda and dish soap in a bowl.
Press the mixture into an ice tray or disposable cups.
Let dry for at least 4 hours.
Take out of the tray and drop into the toilet.
Estimated cost: 0.25$ for 1 bomb
Step 7: Drainer

Mix baking soda and salt together. Pour the mixture into the sink.
Pour the vinegar.
Lastly pour the boiling water.
Estimated cost: 1.6$ for 3 uses
Step 9: Stainless Steel Cleaner

Mix vinegar and water together.
Usable for any stainless steel surfaces.
Estimated cost: 0.53$ for half a spray bottle
Step 11: Bathtub Cleaner

Mix vinegar and dish soap together in a spray bottle.
Spray on dirty areas in the bathroom, and let sit for about 30 minutes before removing.
Usable on all tiles and bathroom sinks, showers and toilet.

Step 13: Fabric Cleaner

Mix dish soap, soda, vinegar and lemon juice together.
Spray on dirty areas of any sofa or armchairs and use scotch scrub sponge to spread the product well.
**** test on an unseen corner first.
