Introduction: Cheesecake Strawberries

What is better than Strawberry Cheesecake?

Cheesecake Strawberries.

Need a quick bite to impress a crowd? Want to feel better about eating a bunch of cheese cake? These are your new go-to!

Step 1: Tools

The short list of everything you will need.

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries, large
  • Your favorite "No-Bake" cheesecake
  • Necessary additions to cheesecake

Tools:

  • Various Plates
  • Paring knife
  • Mixer: Stand or hand + large bowl
  • Gallon zip-top bag
  • Rubber scraper

Step 2: Wash and Dry Berries

Chose your strawberries

They should be rather large and perfectly ripe. Chose berries that are generally unblemished and require little trimming.

Wash and Dry

Gently wash your berries in clean, cold water. Dry them as best you can. I used a salad spinner to help remove excess water without staining towels.

Step 3: Prepare Your Berries

Cutting Your Berries

Take your paring knife and slice off the top green part of the berry. Try to cut off as little flesh as possible. Then take your knife and cut the inner flesh of the berry out, leaving at least a quarter inch of flesh all the way around.

Trash and Chef's Treat

While you are cutting the berries use two bowls for your trimmings. The tops can be thrown out or composted but the inner flesh is delicious. This is your reward for doing the work.

Step 4: Assemble Your Cheesecake

Follow The Directions

Each no bake cheese cake is different. This particular Jello branded version required 1.5 cups of milk and 3 minutes of mixing. I used a stand mixer because I don't own a hand mixer.

Make a Piping Bag

Once your cheesecake is just to the refrigeration stage put it in a piping bag. This version of a piping bag is the home cook's cheat: a gallon sized sip top bag. Put it into a container it covers completely but will hold all of your filling. Scoop the filling into the bag carefully. When all of your cheesecake is in the bag carefully squeeze out excess air and cut one corner off.

Step 5: Carefully Fill Strawberries

Use your bag of cheesecake to carefully fill each of your strawberries.

Refrigerate as per your cheesecake's directions and enjoy!
