These Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies melt in your mouth with every bite you take! They are delicious and a family recipe that I have become accustomed to growing up. Enjoy!

Step 1: Ingredients You Will Need:

1 C. margarine or butter
1 C. Crisco
1 1/2 C. brown Sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. Vanilla
5-5 1/2 C. flour
1 T. baking soda
1 1/2 C. white sugar
1 tsp. salt
12 ounce pkg. chocolate chips

Step 2: Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine or butter, Crisco, sugar and brown sugar with the mixer on low, then on high, for 5 minutes.

Step 3: Step 2

Add eggs and vanilla.  Cream on high another 5 minutes or so.

Step 4: Step 3

Add the baking soda and salt in and mix.

Step 5: Step 4

Gradually add the cups of flour into your mixing bowl while the mixer is on.  While adding the flour the mixer is on low, be careful that none of your flour comes flying up out of the bowl. Once the flour is mixed in turn the mixer onto medium for a few minutes. Mix well.

Step 6: Step 5

Add the chocolate chips, turn the mixer onto low and mix until blended in with the cookie dough.

Step 7: Step 6

Get a spoonful of cookie dough and place on the cookie sheet. You should be able to place 12 cookie dough balls on the pan.

Step 8: Step 7

Preheat oven at 325 degrees.

Step 9: Step 8

Bake cookies at 325 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Let set for a few minutes before removing from cookie sheet. Enjoy! :)
