Introduction: Chicken With Rice and Vegetables

Extremly delicious and easy to make one pot dish with chicken, rice and some vegetables.

At least you need only four items to make it, knife, cutting board, pot and something to mix everything in the pot.

Step 1: Supplies

Enough for 2 - 3 people

- 500 g chicken breast

- 200 g rice

- 200 g mushrooms

- 1 big red paprika

- 2 - 3 chillis (which depends on, how hot it should be)

- 1 big red onion

- 2 clove of garlic

- 10 g ginger

- salt and pepper

- curry powder

- some oil for cooking

Step 2: Cutting

First of two steps is cutting everything in small pieces.

As you can see in the pictures, I cut everything in small pieces. The mushrooms where cut in half and then in thin slices.

I cut the garlic and ginger in really small pieces so I dont bit on big pieces.

By cutting the chillis, you can decide by yourself if you remove the seeds or leave them inside. I removed the seeds, so the dish don't get to hot.

I have used only one cutting board. Therefore I cut the chicken as last part because I don't want to use something with raw chicken on it without cleaning it befor. I am not sure if this is really necessary, but it gives me a better feeling.

Step 3: Cooking

Second step is cooking everything:

Put some oil in the put and heat it up.

At first put the red onions in the hot pot and cook them for about a minute. Then put the chicken in.

Cook this again for 3-4 minutes. This should give the chicken and the onions some toasting.

Third part in the pot are the mushrooms and again after a few minutes the rest vegetables and the spices.

Last part in the pot is the rice together with some water. I use same volume rice and water, measured with a cup. Cup full with rice and then cup full with water.

After all ingredients are in the pot, cook it until the rice is finished. Tooks about 15-20 minutes, depending on the rice and how you like your rice. While cooking the pot is covered and I mixed everything from time to time.

When the rice is finished you can again use the spices if you want.

Step 4: Finished

The meal is finished. Now you can enjoy your incredible meal :)
