Introduction: Chocolate Cherry Pie
I've only had Black Forest cake once and it was so delicious. Inspired by the cake, I set off on a mission to capture the flavors in the form of a pie.
Ingredients
1 pkg chocolate pudding
1 8oz tub cool whip
1 cup cherries
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup maraschio cherry juice
mini chocolate chips
graham cracker crust

Step 1: Chocolate Mousse
Mix pudding and cool whip. Add 1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice.
Step 2: Cherry Filling
I experimented around with this step a couple of times. I thought fresh cherries would be better [cause you know fresh is always best] but it didn't yield as much sweetness as i wanted so i opted for a cherry pie filling. I didn't add too much sugar since the maraschino juice is the main sweetener.
Remove pit from the cherries and chop into medium sized pieces.
In saucepan, add 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup flour and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute then remove from heat.

Step 3:
Chop 1/2 cup chocolate chips into bite sized pieces. (I got mine a little too fine using a food processor. I would suggest buying the super mini chocolate chips. I totally forgot about those; they would be perfect)
Step 4: Layer
