Introduction: Chocolate Oatmeal No-Bakes
Need
1 stick of butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy is best, but chunky works also)
3 cups oatmeal
1 sauce pan
wax paper or foil
1 stick of butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy is best, but chunky works also)
3 cups oatmeal
1 sauce pan
wax paper or foil
Step 1:
In sauce pan melt butter over medium heat.
Step 2:
Once butter is melted add sugar, cocoa powder, and milk. Stir until consistent.
Step 3:
Bring chocolate mix to a boil stirring continuously.
Step 4:
Add vanilla extract and peanut butter, stir until consistent.
Step 5:
Turn off stove and add oatmeal, be sure to stir the whole time (it may be helpful to have someone else pour the oatmeal).
Step 6:
Spoon no-bakes onto wax paper (foil works too, which is what I used) 1 inch apart. You can make the no-bakes as big as you want, but the smaller they are, the faster they will cool.
Allow to cool for 1 hour, or until hard enough to pick up.

Step 7:
Enjoy!
As a note, if they are not cooling fast enough for you, put them in the freezer.
