Introduction: Classy Paper Container
This is a simple container you can make with three pieces of paper and some skills at taping and gluing. Nothing much really, but the container by itself looks really cool and store items, weight increases as size of the container increases. Make sure to evenly distribute the weight within the four mini-containers!
Step 1: Material
You will need:
- 15 to 25 minutes of time
- Glue
- Tape
- Three sheets of paper (notebook or graph paper is best)
- Scissors
Step 2: Starting the Container
First, create two squares from two sheets as shown in the pictures: take one tip and bring it up until the bottom edge matches with the top edge and cut off the excess paper with the scissors. Then proceed to fold into eight triangles by folding in half all four ways: vertically, horizontally, diagonally, and diagonally on opposite side.
Step 3: Continuing Container
Create the base of the container by folding one triangle onto the one next to it in a different square then taking the other triangle next to it and fold backwards. Repeat on other side and paper and finish the base by folding the top down. Crease well. Reference to pictures if the instructions for this step are confusing.
Step 4: Folding the Flaps
Take all four flaps and fold upwards until their edges line up with the middle fold.
Step 5: Folding Inwards
Now take one of your newly folded flaps and fold inwards, so the outside is showing so you can't see the folds. Repeat on other side and paper as usual.
Step 6: Taking the Inner Flaps
Now slightly open the container. Remember the folded flaps from step 4? Well take them out and glue them to their respective flap. Try to keep one side of the piece flat. Repeat on the other piece. Now glue the two pieces together with their flats sides connected. Your container is now done.
Step 7: Creating the Base for the Container
Take your third sheet of paper and fold into eights as according to the picture. Fold in half hot-dog style. Take one of the rectangles and bend again slightly to make a small fifth fold. Place that fold on top of the fold next to it and tape the base shut.
Step 8: The Grand Finale
Neatly place the container into the base and tape into place. Now your container is ready to use!
