Introduction: Computer Screen Under a Microscope!
We are going to see how a computer screen looks like under a microscope! I am using Foldscope; a foldable paper microscope. I will be showing both LED and LCD screens under microscope. I will also tell you the difference between both and how they work.

Step 1: Remove the Ramp and Panning Stage, Keep Only Lens Stage
Step 2: Attach Mobile Camera to the Lens Using Magnetic Coupler
Magnetic couplers are provided with foldscope so you can attach your phone camera to it.
Step 3: LED Screen Under Microscope
In the pictures and video, you can see that there are 'dots' of RGB colours; red, green and blue.
Step 4: LCD Screen Under Microscope
It looks the same like LED, only there are 'bars' of RGB colours instead of 'dots'.
Step 5: How Do We Actually See the Pictures on Screen?
Both the screens have pixels which have 3 glowing bars (LCD) or dots (LED), which can produce red, green or blue light. brightness, intensity and combination of these colours are adjusted which allows us to see desired colours. As you can see in picture (1) red and green colour is mixed to form yellow, and intensity of blue colour is very low. Even white colour is seen in the same way; the above picture (2) is of blank white screen in LCD. Adding all 3 colours in equal intensity form white colour.
I have taken laptop screen as LCD and TV screen as LED.
