Introduction: Crispy Prawn Stick
All the seafood sweethearts will essentially appreciate this fresh crispy prawns. Crispy Prawn is an easy starter dish with all the amazing flavors and this dish can be made quickly. It is one of the easiest and quickest prawns recipes and i make this a lot of times.
It is made with a few ingredients which can be found in every house. This is my favorite way to cook prawns! Perfect crispy Prawns never fails to impress and that too on a stick!
Supplies
Step 1: Marination
Clean and wash prawns. Devein them. Peel and keep the tails intact.
Take prawns in a bowl. To the Prawns, add the following:
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour.
- 1 tablespoon Corn flour.
- 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic paste.
- Half egg.
- salt as per taste.
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder.
- A pinch of orange food color (optional).
Mix everything well. Keep this marination aside for 1 hour.
Step 2: Assembly
- Take the marinated prawns and thread onto metal or bamboo skewers. I'm using Bamboo Skewers.
- Take a bowl, break an egg, add salt and black pepper powder and mix well.
- Coat the prawns with the egg mixture and then coat it with bread crumbs.
- Repeat this step twice.
- Coat it really well.
- You can also coat the prawns with flour slurry.
- Similarly assemble all the prawns.
Step 3: Fry
- In a wide pan, Heat up some oil.
- Deep Fry or Shallow fry the prawns till they're nice golden brown and cooked.
- This would take around 3-5 mins on each side.
- Don't cook this on high Flame or it will burn. Fry the Prawns on medium flame.
- Once they're fully cooked, Take them out on a paper towel.
