Introduction: DIY Belt Cow Themed Controller for Attackof the Bric-a-Brac

In this tutorial, we will be building a belt "cow themed" controller for the free game "Attack of the Bric-a-Brac," which can be downloaded here: mechbird.itch.io/attack-of-the-bric-a-brac. The controller will be made using a belt, pink fabric, and usb gamepads.

Supplies

  • Two straps
  • Long pink fabric (or pink latex gloves for no-sew)
  • Padding (plush stuffing)
  • Scratch Sticker
  • heart shaped toy
  • a cow costume (additional)

Step 1: Draw a Template

Draw a rectangle on the pink fabric that is at least 13x20 cm long. Make 6 rectangles for 6 pies. Each pie means one direction for the game.

Step 2: Assemble the Cow Pies

Start sewing cow pies from the bottom to the top while making attention to sewing in a rounded shape at the top.

Then put some padding inside and put a button inside it too but don't overdo it because the button could be stuck.

Step 3: Sewing the Pies to the Circle

cut a circle that's at least 16 cm long

put the male to female wires inside the pies

sew the pies to the circle

Step 4: Crafting With Hardware

Cut another circle that's a little smaller to the first pink fabric and cut a cardboard that is smaller. put a drop of glue on the middle of the cardboard and glue them together.

glue a scratch to the cardboard and the other face of the Velcro scratch on the eg starts card. then secure the eg starts card on the cardboard.

Connect the eg starts to the buttons with male to female wires.

Step 5: Making the Heart

Sew a heart or use a heart shaped toy (it is used in the game to fill the cow's milk).

Think of letting a little hole to put a button inside the heart and add padding inside it.

connect the button to the eg starts card with wires.

(it should look like the second picture)

Step 6: Making the Belt

Cut two holes on the fabric that is glued to the cardboard and slide a strap through the fabric.

Sew the cow pies to the other fabric and leave a hole to insert padding wadding inside.

Bring the usb wire outside of your creation.

Step 7: Install JoytoKey and Connect Everything

Install the latest version of JoyToKey on their website.

Connect the S G A F D W and Space to the buttons to be able to play the game.

W = Up left

A = Middle left

S = Bottom left

D = Up right

F = Middle right

G = Bottom right

and voilà ! you can now play the game :)
