Step 2: Mix and Fill!

Start of by mixing the colours you want to use for this project.

I recommend to do this project outdoors, so you do not need to worry about the mess. :) If there is some wind, use rocks to hold the bubble plastic in place.

Sins the syringe will create holes in the bubbles, place the bubble plastic in a angle to easily insert the syringe from the top of your art! Do always insert the needle from the same direction to prevent unwanted leakage from the bubbles.

To fill a bubble you simply:

  • Fill the syringe with the wanted colour
  • Press with one finger on the air pocket you want to fill, so the air moves to the top where you are going to insert the syringe.
  • Insert the syringe and then press on the whole bubble to remove all air.
  • Then fill the bubble with the colour from the syringe.
  • Slightly overfill the bubble, but not to much... You will need some practise! :)

If any air is still trapped:

  • Remove the syringe.
  • Press on the bubble and help the air escape through the hole you created with the syringe, some colour will leak out as well!
  • Then refill the bubble through the same hole that you earlier created with the syringe.

Step 3: Make Your Pattern!

Then simply start creating your own pattern! Play around with different colours and shapes... Your imagination is the limit! :)

Happy crafting!
