DIY Doily Wall Art

No wonder doilies can look artistic on a canvas or wooden board!

Step 1: Materials

You will need the following materials to make your own doily wall art:

• doilies
• a wooden board or small canvas
• Mod Podge
• acrylic paint
• sponge brush
• small paint brush
• Optional: glitter

Step 2: Prep the Canvas

First, paint your wooden board or canvas with a single color.

Step 3: Add Doilies

Now, you can paint your doilies in the colors that you like, and let dry. Then, add a layer of Mod Podge on top of the canvas, collage your doilies, and spread on more Mod Podge on top to seal. Then, let dry! You can also add a dusting of glitter, while the glue is still wet to give it some extra pizazz!

What you want to do here is, you're going to let some of the doilies hang along the edges of the canvas (if you decide to), and when the glue has dried, you can cut off the excess.

Step 4: Hang It Up

Now, you can hang it up on your walls! This is a fun idea for home décor and adds those pops of color throughout!
