Introduction: Deadpool Art

Super cool Deadpool nail wall art!!

Step 1: Materials

You will need:

  • Wood
  • Black, white and red paint + white paint marker
  • Nails
  • Red, white and black thin yarn or string
  • Projector (optional)

Step 2: Painting

Paint your piece of wood black. I used a piece of plywood and semi-gloss black paint.

Step 3: Tracing Deadpool

I used an overhead projector to trace the words onto the wood. Print out Deadpool on transparency and place it on the projector. However, if you don't have an overhead projector I'm sure a regular projector will work just as well.

Step 4: Painting Deadpool

I found it easiest to do one or two layers of white paint and once that is dry to paint the letters red. Go around each letter with a white paint marker.

Step 5: Ptinting the Logo

Print off the Deadpool logo to fit on your piece of wood. If your printer has the option chose borderless printing. Because I couldn't use borderless printing I had to round out the edges. Once you have it placed where you want it, use painters tape and tape the paper to the wood.

Step 6: Hammer Time

Start hammering in the nails leaving a bit of space between each nail. Be careful if you have to hammer close to the edges of the wood as it may cause the wood to split. Don't hammer the nails all the way through the wood. If the wood starts to splinter a little bit around the eyes and such, don't worry as it will be covered up later by the yarn.

Step 7: Removing the Paper

Gently tear away the paper from the nails.

Step 8: Yarn

Tie the yarn around one nail and then just keep weaving it between the nails. Once you are done with the colour tie it around the nail and move on to the next colour.

Step 9: Finished!

Add some Command Velcro strips to the back and hang it on the wall. Now you have a beautiful piece of Deadpool artwork!
